Norway gave up a six-goal lead in the second half after and had to settle for a draw after leading almost the entire game.
The tournament in three Danish cities is the final run-up to the EC, which begins in a week. That championship will be Thorir Hergeirsson’s departure as Norway’s national team manager.
Norway let the Danes in on them several times. In the second half, Norway gave up a six-goal lead at 14-20 and let the Danes make contact at 23-24. The Norwegians increased to 23-26, but the Danes were one goal behind at 26-27 three and a half minutes before the end.
After a save by Eli Marie Raasok, Norway had the chance to secure the victory, but Henny Reistad missed. Then she incurred a two-minute expulsion, and the Danes were able to play the last 16 seconds seven against five. It resulted in equalization.
Saved by Silje
Silje Solberg-Østhassel was very good in the goal and should have a large part of the credit for Norway leading 15-12 at half-time.
– Silje saves us a lot. There are far too few breaches and tackles in the defence. We have to stand closer and together and help Silje a little more, assistant coach Tonje Larsen told TV 2 during the break.
– We must also be more accurate in the attacking game. Several times we played them out, but then a bad pass came. We also need to be sharper in our shots.
A little way into the second half, Solberg-Østhassel had to leave after being shot in the face.

Did not hold
The Danes were responsible for a recovery with Raasok in the goal, but her first save came at a very decisive moment with 26-27 on the board. It still did not amount to victory.
Kari Brattset Dale became Norway’s top scorer with seven goals, while Reistad scored five.
Katrine Lunde has been given time off from the Golden League tournaments, but will be back in the squad when the EC starts in a week.
