The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul opened the week at 8,383.16 points, recording an increase of 0.58 percent.
At the beginning of trading, the stock index rose to 8,383.16 points, an increase of 48.22 points and 0.58 percent compared to the previous close.
The banking index witnessed an increase of 0.49 percent, while the holding index rose by 0.67 percent. Indices of all sectors recorded an increase, but the highest increase was for sports, by 2.39 percent.
This rise in the BIST 100 Index reflects an improvement in the economic performance of companies listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, and may reflect investors’ confidence in the Turkish economy.
The increase in stocks is expected to continue throughout the week, with investors optimistic and general economic conditions improving.
