She represents Jakob Asserson Ingebrigtsen (24) and several of his siblings who have been involved in the case.
– It is a serious matter with a long period of time. The abuse goes back to when he was very young, says Larsen.
The public prosecutor sent an additional indictment against Gjert Ingebrigtsen to Sør-Rogaland District Court on Friday. There he is accused of abusing his son Jakob.
The offense relates to Section 282 of the Criminal Code and is about abuse in close relationships. The same section applies to the indictment brought against Gjert Ingebrigtsen in April. That case concerns another of his children.
At that time, five cases were dismissed on the basis of the evidence, while one was dismissed due to statute of limitations. Four of these were appealed, and the state attorney decided that the case of Jakob Asserson Ingebrigtsen should be investigated further.
Now it is clear that there will still be an indictment.
– I was surprised when the case was dropped. Then it is not unusual for the public prosecutor to see it differently. There was a new questioning here, and the police looked into the case more closely after our complaint in April, says Larsen.
She says that there are two separate charges in the case, but that they will be dealt with together in court.
– There will be extensive evidence with 34 witnesses and lots of documents, says Larsen.
She will not say anything about how Jakob Asserson Ingebrigtsen reacts to the new indictment.
– I do not want to comment on his view. We will take that to court.
