The Turkish presidency announces a strong blow to the PKK organization in northern Iraq

The Turkish Air Force delivered a strong blow to the PKK terrorist organization in northern Iraq on Sunday evening, according to what was announced by the head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department, Fakhruddin Altun.

Altun confirmed in a blog post on social media that the successful air strike indicates Turkey’s continued efforts to combat terrorism inside and outside the country.

Alton described the implementation of the air strikes as an important indicator that the noose around the terrorist organization has been tightened and that it has suffered a severe blow.

He also indicated that Turkey will continue the struggle against terrorist organizations until the last terrorists are neutralized.

Earlier in the evening, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that it was able to destroy 20 PKK targets in northern Iraq, thanks to targeted air strikes on their strongholds in the Matina, Hakurk, Qandil and Kara regions.

It is worth noting that the PKK organization is considered responsible for the killing of more than 40,000 people, including children, women, and infants, in Turkey. It is also classified on terrorist lists in all countries of Turkey, the United States of America, and the European Union.

This strike comes within the framework of efforts aimed at achieving stability and security in the region, and confirms Turkey’s determination to combat terrorism.
