– The police’s understanding is that the fire engine has driven into rebar in the Suldapsporten tunnel. Three workers who worked at the site were injured as a result and are now being taken to hospital, the South West police district says in the police log on Sunday evening.
The extent of the injuries is not known, but according to the police there is a head injury in one of them, an injury in a foot in another and an injury in the face in a third.
The fire engine was on its way to a traffic accident in Brattlandsdalen in the same municipality, where a 19-year-old woman had driven into a river, when the accident occurred.
There are very slippery roads in the area.
