Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison less than two weeks ago. Now the wife has filed for divorce.
Danny Masterson (47) is known for his role in “That ’70s Show”. At the same time as the series was being recorded, he raped two women.
Less than two weeks ago, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the rapes.
Following the verdict, Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce. TMZ reports.
TMZ has obtained access to various legal documents, which show that Bijou filed for divorce on Monday this week.
Bijou stood by Masterson’s side throughout the rape trial, and was also present when he received the sentence.
according to People.com Masterson blew a kiss to his wife after he received the sentence.
The sexual assaults took place in the period 2001–2003. At the time, Masterson played the character Steven Hyde in the popular TV series “That ’70s Show”.
The TV star is also accused of a third rape, this one by a former lover. He has not been convicted of this.
Masterson has always maintained his innocence in all three cases.
