Tunisia.. A new law threatens the stability of monetary policy

A draft law presented by representatives in the Tunisian parliament showed a proposal that would strip the Central Bank of the exclusive authority to adjust interest rates and exchange policy and stipulate that it must make such a decision only in agreement with the government, but it would be required to purchase government bonds or directly finance the state treasury.
