Voters in North Carolina and Georgia more positive to Harris than to Trump – Dagsavisen

Preliminary figures in a survey by Edison Research show that 48 percent of voters in North Carolina have a positive view of Democrat Harris. 49 percent of Georgia voters say the same. In 2020, 50 percent of voters in both states answered that they had a positive impression of Joe Biden.

When asked how they view Donald Trump, 43 percent in North Carolina say they have a positive view of the Republican presidential candidate, while 46 percent of voters in Georgia are positive. The share in Georgia is unchanged since the last election, while it was 47 percent in North Carolina.

White voters make up 69 percent in North Carolina and 57 percent in Georgia. In the same survey four years ago, the proportion of white voters was 65 and 61 per cent respectively.

The percentage of black voters has fallen from 23 percent in 2020 to 19 percent in this year’s election in North Carolina. In Georgia, it has risen marginally from 29 to 30 percent. In both states, 8 percent of voters were Hispanic, up from 5 percent in North Carolina and 7 percent in Georgia in 2020.
