According to the Santa Ana Wildfire Threat Index we will have a strong Santa Ana wind event Wednesday and Thursday.
There will be widespread critical, to extremely critical, fire weather conditions expected. If you live in a fire zone, the time to prepare is now.
A red flag warning is issued when factors such as high winds and low humidity could lead to dangerous fires within 24 hours. A fire weather watch is issued when those weather conditions could exist in the next 12 to 72 hours.
Here are some maps that show where winds and and dryness will created the greatest wildfire threat this week.
