Through two weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the Cincinnati Bengals are still searching for their first win of the new year,

The Bengals were upset in Week 1 by the New England Patriots then narrowly lost a tough road game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Cincinnati hasn’t gotten its offense off the ground so far this season despite Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase being healthy.

Complicating the passing game is the health of Tee Higgins who has yet to make his season debut after suffering a hamstring injury right before Week 1.

There has been plenty of drama with Higgins over the past year as he didn’t get the contract extension he wanted, but he signed his franchise tag and is set to play out the year without a new deal.

Fortunately, it looks like the star receiver will finally be able to hit the field after head coach Zac Taylor declared him available for Week 3 against the Washington Commanders via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

#Bengals coach Zac Taylor tells reporters that Tee Higgins is “good to go.” He missed the first two games with a hamstring injury,” Rapoport reported.

Having Higgins back is a huge boost to Cincinnati’s offense as it gives Burrow another reliable option to throw to when Chase is covered.

Higgins is a downfield threat who can go up and win contested passes, so that adds another dimension to the offense.

Against a lowly Commanders secondary that struggles to get stops, Higgins should be in line for a big debut come Monday.
